Just saying "Hi!"

I've always been a night owl, so when it came time to hit the job market, I automatically gravitated toward bar work. For nearly a decade, my average shift started at 7pm & I'd be finished by 4am, home by 5...
Recently, I discovered that I wasn't enjoying the work as much as I had in the past, that I'd become jaded. So I decided it was time to move on. Thing is, I knew I wasn't going to cut it working a "regular" nine-to-five shift, so I kept my eyes open for something interesting & lo, what did I come across, but a small, boutique hotel that was looking for a part-time night auditor!
Two shifts per week, I'm at the frontdesk of The Drake Hotel from 11pm until 7am. The other two or three shifts, I work the afternoon shift. Now, I'd love to do the grave shift on a full-time basis, but the current full-time night auditor likes her job well enough that she's not willing to move away from her nights.
Unfortunately though, switching back & forth, between afternoons & nights is really starting to affect me & I'm wondering if any of you have any suggestions for how to contend with rotating schedules?
